THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET ON TUESDAY.  THE BOARD WILL REVIEW BIDS FOR A HIGHWAY PROJECT ON COUNTY ROAD 15.  THEY WILL REVIEW A PROPOSAL TO SHARE THE SERVICES OF THE COUNTY ENGINEER WITH WATONWAN COUNTY ON A TEMPORARY BASIS.  THE WINDOM EAGLES MODEL AIRPLANE CLUB WILL DISCUSS THE RENEWAL OF THE LEASE FOR ITS FLYING FIELD.  THE BOARD WILL APPOINT A CAMPGROUND HOST FOR TALCOT LAKE PARK.  SEASONAL EMPLOYEES WILL BE HIRED FOR THE HIGHWAY AND PARKS DEPARTMENTS.
A MEETING OF THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD IS BEING HELD TUESDAY MORNING.   THE BOARD WILL HEAR THE ANNUAL REPORT FROM THE HERON LAKE WATERSHED DISTRICT.  THEY WILL REVIEW A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A DEPUTY COUNTY COORDINATOR.  INFORMATION WILL BE PRESENTED ON A CLEAN ENERGY PROGRAM.  THE BOARD WILL CONSIDER AMENDED CONTRACTS FOR COURT-APPOINTED ATTORNEY’S SERVICES.  THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD WILL SPEND A PORTION OF THE MEETING IN CLOSED SESSION TO MEET WITH THE COUNTY ATTORNEY.
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD HOLDS A REGULAR MEETING ON TUESDAY.    THE ANNUAL REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED FOR “ACE” OF SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA.  INFORMATION WILL BE PRESENTED ON THE PROPOSED RESTORATION OF SEVEN MILE PARK.  THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY WILL HAVE INFORMATION ON A GRANT APPLICATION.  THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR WILL REPORT ON A PROPOSED BUSINESS LOAN.  THE COUNTY COORDINATOR WILL DISCUSS THE HIRING OF SEASONAL EMPLOYEES.    
THE WINDOM CITY COUNCIL HOLDS A REGULAR MEETING AT 7:30 THIS EVENING AT THE WINDOM CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS.     THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT.  THEY MAY CALL FOR BIDS ON THE PROJECT.  THE FIRST READING WILL BE HELD OF TWO PROPOSED ORDINANCES TO REGULATE SIDEWALK CAFES, AND THE OUTDOOR SALES AND SERVICE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES.  TWO EMPLOYEES WILL BE HIRED FOR THE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT. 
THE HERON LAKE-OKABENA SCHOOL BOARD HOLDS A REGULAR MEETING TODAY.   A RESIGNATION WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM A STAFF MEMBER.  THE ACTIVITIES DIRECTOR WILL HAVE AN UPDATE ON SPRING SPORTS, AND COACHING POSITIONS FOR FALL SPORTS.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON PLANS FOR THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR, INCLUDING GRADUATION.  THERE WILL BE A REPORT ON SUMMER SCHOOL.   THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS OPTIONS FOR HIRING A SCHOOL RESOURCEOFFICER, AND A POSSIBLE OPERATING LEVY REFERENDUM THIS FALL.    
A MEMBER OF THE WINDOM SCHOOL BOARD IS RESIGNING.    AT THIS WEEK’S REGULAR MEETING, LONG-TIME BOARD MEMBER RICK FREDRICKSON ANNOUNCED HIS RESIGNATION.   FREDRICKSON WILL BE MOVING TO SPRINGFIELD TO SERVE AS THE PASTOR AT THE SPRINGFIELD UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.  HE WILL RESIGN HIS SEAT ON THE WINDOM SCHOOL BOARD EFFECTIVE ON MAY 31ST.  THE DISTRICT IS TAKING APPLICATIONS IN ORDER TO APPOINT SOMEONE TO FILL THE SEAT UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR.  THE SEAT WILL BE UP FOR ELECTION THIS FALL. 
THE FEDERATED RURAL ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION HAS ANNOUNCED ITS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS.   NINE AREA STUDENTS WILL EACH RECEIVE A 700-DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP TO SUPPORT THEIR FUTURE EDUCATION.  THE RECIPIENTS ARE COBIE ENGBARTH OF BREWSTER; EAN HOHENSTEIN OF LAKEFIELD; LANE HANSEN OF JACKSON; LOGAN POTTHOFF OF DUNNELL; EMMA BEHRENDS OF WELCOME; JAZLYN MEYER OF FAIRMONT; MATTHEW HOLM OF DUNNELL, AUSTIN YONKER OF BINGHAM LAKE, AND JESSICA CHRISTOFFER OF ROUND LAKE.
