A MEETING OF THE MT LAKE SCHOOL BOARD WILL BE HELD AT 5:30 THIS AFTERNOON IN ROOM #1 AT THE PUBLIC SCHOOL BUILDING.   STAFF HANDBOOKS WILL BE APPROVED.   PAY RATES WILL BE SET FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS.  A SPECIAL MEETING WILL BE SCHEDULED TO DEAL WITH THE LONG-TERM FACILITY MAINTENANCE BUDGET.  THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS THE TRANSPORTATION CONTRACT WITH THE PALMER BUS SERVICE.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON THE BUILDING PROJECT.  AN UPDATE WILL BE PROVIDED ON THIS FALL’S SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS.  FOUR SEATS WILL BE UP FOR ELECTION IN NOVEMBER. 
 
 THE WESTBROOK-WALNUT GROVE SCHOOL BOARD MEETS AT 7:00 THIS EVENING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL IN WESTBROOK.   SOME PERSONNEL MATTERS WILL BE HANDLED.  ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL HANDBOOKS WILL BE APPROVED.   THE BOARD WILL APPROVE AN UPDATED 10-YEAR BUDGET FOR LONG-TERM FACILITY MAINTENANCE.  ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE BOARD WILL ALSO HANDLE SOME ORGANIZATIONAL BUSINESS, INCLUDING OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS AND DESIGNATIONS.  PAY RATES WILL BE SET FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS.

THE WINDOM COMMUNITY CENTER COMMISSION MEETS AT 5:30 THIS AFTERNOON AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER.  MEMBERS WILL REVIEW RENTAL SURVEYS THAT WERE FILLED OUT AFTER A RECENT EVENT.  THE CENTER DIRECTOR WILL REPORT ON THE CITY’S PURCHASE OF A VEHICLE.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON POSSIBLE REPAIRS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING.  THE COMMISSION WILL CONSIDER IDEAS FOR A 20TH ANNIVERSARY OPEN HOUSE. A LIST OF SCHEDULED EVENTS WILL BE REVIEWED.   
 
THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY BOARD MEETS AT 9:00 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN WINDOM.  THE BOARD WILL HEAR THE ANNUAL REPORT FROM THE MINNESOTA COUNTIES’ INSURANCE TRUST.  THERE WILL BE A PRESENTATION FROM MINN-DOT ON THE 10-YEAR CAPITAL HIGHWAY INVESTMENT PLAN.   THE BOARD WILL REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR A DEMOLITION LANDFILL.  FURTHER DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD ON WHETHER THE COUNTY SHOULD INCREASE THE WHEELAGE TAX FROM $10 TO $20 PER VEHICLE.   
 
A MEETING OF THE JACKSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL BE HELD AT 9:00 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE COURTHOUSE IN JACKSON.   MINN-DOT WILL HAVE A PRESENTATION ON THE 10-YEAR HIGHWAY CAPITAL INVESTMENT PLAN.  THE BOARD WILL CONSIDER ISSUING GENERAL OBLIGATION DRAINAGE BONDS ON BEHALF OF THE HERON LAKE WATERSHED DISTRICT.  DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD ON THE PUBLIC SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTIES.  A DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD ON SOME BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS ISSUES.      
 
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETS AT 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT BUILDING IN SLAYTON.    THE BOARD WILL REVIEW THREE APPLICATIONS FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS.   THEY WILL DISCUSS SOME COORESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE COUNTY AND THE SHETEK AREA LAKES ASSOCIATION.  THE BOARD WILL REVIEW PROPOSALS FOR OVERLAY PROJECTS AT THE FAIRGROUNDS, AT 7-MILE LAKE PARK, AND EAST SARAH PARK.  THE D-N-R WILL DISCUSS A LAND-USE REPORT.
