LOCAL SPORTS — cross-country meet 10/9/19
Adrian hosted a Cross-Country meet on Tuesday.
In the Boys Team Standings, Worthington won the team title, with Marshall in 2nd place. Redwood Valley was third, followed by Pipestone, Luverne, Canby/Minneota, Windom Area 7th, Jackson County Central, Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey 9th, Murray County Central/Fulda, Heron Lake-Okabena, Ortonville and Springfield. Tracy-Milroy-Balaton, Adrian, Ellsworth and SW MN Christian/Edgerton were incomplete.
Adam Koller of Worthington was the Boys Individual winner. Mitchell Buerkle of Springfield was 4th. For Windom, Patrick Green was 12th and Cameron Alm was 15th. Tim Salentiny was 20th for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda.
In the Girls Team Standings, Marshall won the team title. Murray County Central/Fulda was 2nd, with Luverne 3rd and Canby/Minneota 4th. Redwood Valley was fifth, followed by Pipestone, SW MN Christian/Edgerton, Springfield, Worthington, Adrian, Mt Lake Area-Comfrey 11th and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton. Windom, J–C–C, Ortonville and HL-O were incomplete.
Morgan Gehl of Murray County Central/Fulda was the Girls Individual winner. Gracie Bucher of Windom was 11th. Jadyn Wormstadt was 29th.
The Red Rock Conference and the Big South Conference will hold their Conference meets next week.
In the Junior High races, Windom took the first two spots in the Girls race with Emma Holtz and Arianna Boldt. Windom also finished 1st and 2nd in the Boys Junior High event with Thomas Green and Aaden Nauman. Charlie Smith was 7th.
