THIS IS HOMECOMING WEEK AT WINDOM AREA HIGH SCHOOL.   THE THEME IS “HOLLYWOOD HOMECOMING”  HOMECOMING BUTTONS WILL BE SOLD DURING THE WEEK AT $3.  THERE WILL BE DAILY DRESS-UP THEMES AND ACTIVITIES.    CLASSES WILL COMPETE TO SCORE POINTS AND WIN THE HOMECOMING JUG.   A PEP FEST WILL BE HELD MONDAY.  THE HOMECOMING CORONATION WILL BE HELD TUESDAY EVENING.   THERE WILL BE A BONFIRE AT ISLAND PARK WEDNESDAY EVENING.  FRIDAY ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE THE HOMECOMING PARADE, THE HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME AGAINST REDWOOD VALLEY, AND A DANCE AT THE HIGH SCHOOL AFTER THE GAME. 
 
THE MT LAKE CITY COUNCIL MEETS AT 6:30 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS.  MARTY SIEFERT FROM THE COALITION OF GREATER MINNESOTA CITIES WILL PRESENT A REPORT TO THE COUNCIL.  THE STREET DEPARTMENT WILL REVIEW A PROPOSED PLAT FOR TWO ADDITIONS TO THE MT LAKE CITY CEMETERY.  THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW A SNOW-REMOVAL POLICY.  THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW A PROPOSED WINTER SNOW-REMOVAL AGREEMENT WITH COTTONWOOD COUNTY.  THE FIRST READING WILL BE HELD OF AN ORDINANCE REVISION.  
THE FULDA CITY COUNCIL MEETS AT 6:30 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL BUILDING.    THE MAYOR WILL HAVE AN UPDATE ON JOB EVALUATIONS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES.  THE UTILITY MANAGEMENT COMPANY WILL PROVIDE ITS MONTHLY REPORT.  THERE MAY BE AN UPDATE ON THE FIRE HALL.  THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW A PROPOSAL FOR A COMPUTER SOFTWARE PROGRAM THAT COULD BE USED TO HELP MANAGE CITY ASSETS.  FOUR BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATIONS WILL BE REVIEWED.  THE MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED.  REGULAR BILLS WILL BE APPROVED FOR PAYMENT.   
 
THE WESTBROOK CITY COUNCIL MEETS THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL BUILDING.  THE COUNCIL WILL MEET WITH THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR.   THE OWNERS OF THE EXPRESSWAY STORE WILL BE PRESENT TO DISCUSS THE STORE’S LOCATION.  THE COUNTY WILL REVIEW A WINTER SNOW-REMOVAL AGREEMENT.  A DONATION WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THE FIREMEN’S RELIEF ASSOCIATION.  THE SCHEDULE OF CITY FINES WILL BE REVISED.  ONE BUILDING PERMIT APPLICATION WILL BE REVIEWED.  THE COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER THE RENEWAL OF LIQUOR LICENSES, CIGARETTE LICENSES AND LICENSES FOR GAMES OF SKILL.   
 
THE SOUTHWEST CRISIS CENTER OFFICE IN WINDOM IS HOSTING SOME EVENTS THIS WEEK.   OCTOBER IS DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH.   PURPLE RIBBONS HAVE BEEN TIED TO LIGHT POLES AROUND THE DOWNTOWN SQUARE IN WINDOM.  ON TUESDAY, A COOKIE SOCIAL WILL BE HELD AT THE WINDOM PUBLIC LIBRARY FROM 2:00 UNTIL 5:30PM.  THE CRISIS CENTER WILL HAVE INFORMATION ABOUT ITS SERVICES.  ON THURSDAY, THE CRISIS CENTER WILL HOLD AN OPEN HOUSE AT ITS OFFICE – AT 1043 4TH AVENUE – FROM NOON UNTIL 4:00PM.  PEOPLE ARE INVITED TO VISIT THE OFFICE AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THE CRISIS CENTER AND ITS PROGRAMS.
