THE GOVERNING BOARD FOR WINDOM AREA HEALTH WILL MEET AT 5:30 THIS AFTERNOON IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM.    THE BOARD WILL HEAR A NUMBER OF REPORTS, INCLUDING THE REPORT OF PATIENT ACTIVITY FOR OCTOBER AND THE MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT.  OTHER REPORTS MAY BE PROVIDED BY THE MEDICAL STAFF, THE HOSPITAL COMMITTEES, THE CITY OF WINDOM, THE SANFORD HEALTH NETWORK, THE FOUNDATION AND THE AUXILIARY.  THE ADMINISTRATION WILL PROVIDED EXECUTIVE SUMMARY REPORTS.  THERE WILL BE REPORTS ON PATIENT CONCERNS AND PATIENT SAFETY.   
 
THE WINDOM SCHOOL BOARD HOLDS A WORK-SESSION AT 6:30 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS.    THE PRE-SCHOOL CENSUS REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE BOARD WILL APPROVE THE ADDITION OF A NEW POSITION FOR AN ELEMENTARY AND SPECIAL-ED TEACHER.  THEY WILL CONSIDER RENEWAL OF THE CONTRACT FOR GARBAGE HAULING AND RECYCLING.   THE BOARD WILL REVIEW AN ESTIMATE FOR THE PROPOSED RENOVATIONS TO THE HIGHLAND SCHOOL BUILDING.  THEY MAY VOTE TO PROCEED WITH THE PROJECT.  THE 2019 DISTRICT AUDIT REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS THE RESIDENTIAL HOUSING TAX ABATEMENT PROGRAM. 
 
THE FUND-RAISING TOTALS HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED FOR THE ANNUAL TAMMY HALL BREAST HEALTH WALK IN WINDOM.   THE EVENT RAISES MONEY FOR A WOMEN’S HEALTH FUND, ADMINISTERED THROUGH THE WINDOM AREA HEALTH FOUNDATION.  THIS YEAR’S WALK BROUGHT IN A TOTAL OF $6,638.  OF THAT TOTAL, 10% GOES TO SUPPORT RESEARCH INTO BREAST CANCER.  THE REMAINING MONEY GOES INTO THE LOCAL WOMENS’ HEALTH FUND.  SINCE IT BEGAN, THE BREAST HEALTH WALK HAS NOW RAISED MORE THAN $150-THOUSAND.   THE HEALTH FUND PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO WOMEN WHO ARE DEALING WITH CANCER AND NEED HELP WITH MEDICAL BILLS AND EXPENSES. 
 
THE WINDOM TELE-COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION MEETS AT 6:00 TONIGHT AT THE WINDOM COMMUNITY CENTER.   THE COMMISSION WILL HEAR PROJECT UPDATES.  THE WINDOM-NET MANAGER WILL REPORT ON TECHNICAL ISSUES.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON PLANNING FOR THE NEW STREAMING VIDEO SERVICE.  FURTHER DISCUSSION WILL BE HELD ON VIDEO AND INTERNET RATES.  THE COMMISSION WILL DISCUSS THE TELE-COMM BUDGET FOR 2020.  FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED ON SOME POSSIBLE NEW EQUIPMENT.                                              
                                                         
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET AT 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER IN SLAYTON.   THE BOARD WILL ACCEPT A DONATION ON BEHALF OF THE END-O-LINE PARK AND MUSEUM IN CURRIE.  THE DITCH INSPECTOR’S REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS OPTIONS FOR A WORK-SESSION.  AT 5:30 TUESDAY AFTERNOON, THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD WILL RE-CONVENE TO HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON 2020 DITCH LEVIES.  AT 6:00 TUESDAY EVENING. THE BOARD WILL HOLD ITS TRUTH-IN-TAXATION HEARING.  INFORMATION WILL BE PRESENTED ON THE PROPOSED 2020 COUNTY BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY.
