LET’S CHECK DATES FOR SOME OF THE SPECIAL EVENTS TAKING PLACE IN DECEMBER.   THE WINDOM HOSPITAL AUXILIARY IS HOLDING A CRAFT AND BAKE SALE TODAY.  ON TUESDAY, THE EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION PROGRAM WILL HOLD A CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE AT BARC IN WINDOM.  ON THURSDAY, THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY WILL HOST THE “CHOCOLATE AND BLING” EVENT AT THE COUNTY MUSEUM IN WINDOM.  ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7TH. A ‘HOLLY JOLLY’ CHRISTMAS CONCERT WILL BE HELD AT ‘BARC’ IN WINDOM.  ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8TH, THE COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS SUPPORT GROUP WILL HOLD A CANDLE-LIGHTING CEREMONY. 
 
THE FULDA CITY COUNCIL MEETS AT 6:00 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL BUILDING.    THE TRUTH-IN-TAXATION HEARING WILL BE HELD AT 6:00.   AT 6:15, THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS A GRANT APPLICATION, SEEKING FUNDS FOR A NEW AMBULANCE.  THE REGULAR MEETING BEGINS AT 6:30.  THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW A PROPOSED ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT WITH BONDIN TOWNSHIP.  A RESOLUTION WILL BE PRESENTED TO CERTIFY THE 2020 PROPERTY TAX LEVY.  THE COUNCIL WILL REVIEW AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN MURRAY COUNTY AND THE FULDA POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR SUPPORT SERVICES.  THE 2020 CITY FEE SCHEDULE WILL BE REVIEWED. 
 
THE WESTBROOK CITY COUNCIL WILL MEET AT 6:00 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL BUILDING.   THE ANNUAL TRUTH-IN-TAXATION HEARING WILL BE HELD.   THE COUNCIL WILL ADOPT A FINAL CITY BUDGET FOR 2020 AND CERTIFY THE 2020 PROPERTY TAX LEVY.  THE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WILL HAVE AN UPDATE ON THE PROPOSED RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT ON MAIN STREET.  THE AMBULANCE DEPARTMENT WILL REQUEST THE PURCHASE OF NEW EQUIPMENT.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE FROM THE CITY UTILITY COMMISSION.  A CHARITABLE GAMBLING PERMIT WILL BE APPROVED FOR THE LIONS’ CLUB.   
 
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET AT 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT BUILDING IN SLAYTON.    THE BOARD WILL DISCUSS THE 2020 SALARIES FOR THE COUNTY ATTORNEY, AUDITOR-TREASURER, THE RECORDER AND THE COUNTY SHERIFF.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE FROM THE MURRAY COUNTY MEDICAL CENTER.  THE COUNTY ENGINEER WILL DISCUSS A CONTRACT FOR A PAVING PROJECT.  A NUMBER OF PERSONNEL MATTERS WILL BE CONSIDERED.  THE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE WILL HAVE AN UPDATE ON THE NEW 9-1-1 EMERGENCY PHONE SYSTEM.  THE BOARD WILL REVIEW AN APPLICATION FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. 
 
A REGULAR MEETING OF THE COTTONWOOD COUNTY BOARD WILL BE HELD AT 4:15 TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE IN WINDOM.   THE WINDOM E-D-A DIRECTOR WILL DISCUSS THE RENEWAL OF THE RESIDENTIAL HOUSING TAX ABATEMENT PROGRAM.  TWO NEW APPLICATIONS FOR ABATEMENTS WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR WILL PROPOSED CHANGES IN THE DAILY RATES AND FEES AT TALCOT PARK.   RECOMMENDATIONS MAY BE PRESENTED FOR THE HIRING OF A LEGAL SECRETARY AND A DEPUTY AUDITOR-TREASURER.   THE ‘TRUTH-IN-TAXATION’ HEARING WILL BE HELD AT 6:01 TUESDAY EVENING.
