THE WINDOM SCHOOL BOARD HOLDS A WORK-SESSION AT 6:30 THIS EVENING AT THE CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS.  THE BOARD WILL APPROVED PAYMENT OF CONTRACTOR’S BILLS FOR WORK ON THE NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND THE HIGHLAND SCHOOL REMODELING PROJECT.  THERE WILL BE A CHANGE ORDER FOR THE CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION PROJECT AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.  BIDS WILL BE REVIEWED FOR THE PURCHASE OF FURNITURE FOR THE NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BULDING.  THE BOARD MAY VOTE ON A PROPOSAL TO HAVE A MARCHING BAND PROGRAM THIS SUMMER.  THERE WILL BE A REPORT ON THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL KITCHEN RECEIVING A FOOD SAFETY EXCELLENCE AWARD.   
 
THE GOVERNING BOARD FOR WINDOM AREA HEALTH MEETS AT 5:30 THIS AFTERNOON IN THE LARGE CONFERENCE ROOM.   A NUMBER OF REPORTS WILL BE PRESENTED.   THE BOARD WILL HEAR THE REPORT OF PATIENT ACTIVITY FOR FEBRUARY.  THE MONTHLY FINANCIAL REPORT WILL BE PRESENTED.  OTHER REPORTS MAY BE PROVIDED BY THE MEDICAL STAFF, THE HOSPITAL COMMITTEES, THE CITY OF WINDOM, THE SANFORD HEALTH NETWORK, THE FOUNDATION AND THE AUXILIARY.  THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK.  THE GOVERNING BOARD WILL GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO REVIEW THE EVALUATION AND COMPENSATION FOR THE C-E-O.   
 
KELLEN PIOTTER OF RURAL WINDOM IS THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER IN THE 2020 K-D-O-M RADIO “FARM 40 FREE” PROMOTION.   THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER RECEIVES A PRIZE PACKAGE VALUED AT MORE THAN $8,300 WITH ALL OF THE SEED, CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZER NEEDED TO PLANT AND HARVEST 40 ACRES OF CORN.  IT INCLUDES THE USE OF A COMBINE FOR HARVEST.  SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE WON SECONDARY PRIZES.  KELLEN PIOTTER IS A 2000 GRADUATE OF WINDOM AREA HIGH SCHOOL.  HE OPERATES A FAMILY FARM IN DALE TOWNSHIP SOUTHWEST OF WINDOM.  HE OWNS ROUGHLY 750 ACRES AND ALSO FARMS WITH TWO OF HIS BROTHERS AND A COUSIN.  
 
THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS WILL MEET AT 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING AT THE GOVERNMENT CENTER IN SLAYTON.  THE GOVERNMENT CENTER IS CURRENTLY CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.  THE BOARD WILL HEAR THE DITCH INSPECTION REPORT.  AN OLDER VEHICLE WILL BE DECLARED AS SURPLUS.   THERE WILL BE AN UPDATE ON SOME COMPUTER ISSUES.  THE BOARD WILL ACCEPT A RESIGNATION.  AN UPDATE ON THE CORONA VIRUS OUTBREAK WILL BE PRESENTED.  THE COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR WILL DISCUSS BID OPENINGS FOR STATE AND FEDERAL HIGHWAY OVERLAY PROJECTS.  THE BOARD WILL HOLD A WORK SESSION ON SOME PERSONNEL MATTERS.
