AMATEUR BASEBALL: 

 

Region 13-C:   A final playoff series is being held to determine seeding for State Tournament.   Best 2-games-out-of-3 

 

3rd Place Series:   Luverne Redbirds vs Milroy Irish.   Winner advances to State as the #3 seed out of the region.  Loser is eliminated. 

 

Fri, Aug 14: 

    Luverne Redbirds 12, Milroy Irish 3.    Luverne wins series 2 games to none and will go to State. 

 

Championship Series:   Hadley Buttermakers vs Fairmont Martins.  Both teams advance to state.  Winner of the series is the #1 seed from the Region.  Loser is the #2 seed. 

 

Sat, Aug 15: 

    Fairmont Martins at Hadley Buttermakers  –  Fairmont leads series 1 game to none.

    Hadley Buttermakers at Fairmont Martins 

 

 

Region 2-C:   Double-elmination format continues.  3 teams from the Region will advance to the State Class C Tournament, starting August 22nd.

      Lamberton Long Sox 10, New Ulm Brewers 0.   Lamberton is the #1 seed out of the region; New Ulm is the #2 seed as both teams advance to the State Class “C” Amateur Baseball Tournament.

         Stark Longhorns 16, Springfield Tigers 15
