LOCAL SPORTS   —   track results   6/11/21 

 

THE SECTION 3-A TRACK MEET WAS HELD THURSDAY IN REDWOOD FALLS. 

 

THE 1ST AND 2ND-PLACE FINISHERS IN EACH EVENT QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE TRACK MEET.   

 

CHECKING AREA STATE QUALIFIERS: 

 

GIRLS: 

For Windom: Delaney Smith was 1st in the Shotput and Discus.  Gracie Bucher was 2nd in the 400. 

 

For H-L-O-F: Morgan Gehl was 1st in the 1600 and 2nd in the 800.  Samantha Unitedt was 1st in the 100 Hurdles. 

 

 

BOYS: 

For Windom: Dylan Serreyn was 2nd in the High Jump.  

 

For M-L-A-C: Kody Wassman was 2nd in the 3200.   

 

 

OTHER AREA PLACE-WINNERS INCLUDED: 

 

GIRLS: 

For Windom: Jaydn Wormstadt was 3rd in the High Jump.   Kaylee Walklin was 4th in the 3200.  Windom was 3rd in the 4×400 Relay, 5th in the 4×800 relay and 7th in the 4×200 Relay.   Haidyn Sammons was 8th in the 1600.  Lucy Stevens was 8th in the 200.   

 

For H-L-O-F: Anna Fest was 3rd in the 100 Hurdles and 7th in the High Jump.  Maddie Schumacher was 3rd in the 200 and 4th in the 100.  Samantha Untiedt was 7th in the 300 Hurdles and 8th in the Long Jump.  Faith White tied for 4th in the Pole Vault. 

 

For M-L-A-C:  Lana Kestner was 7th in the 400.  Riley Schroeder tied for 4th in the Pole Vault. 

 

For WWG-RRC:  Elizabeth Strock was 5th in the 400.  Kelsey DeSmith was tied for 5th in the High Jump. 

 

 

BOYS: 

For Windom: Dylan Serreyn was 3rd in the Triple Jump.  Cameron Alm was 6th in the 400.  Alex Altman was 4th in the Discus and 6th in the Shotput.   

 

For H-L-O-F: Zach Thier was 4th in the Shotput.  Aiden Lorenzen was 7th in the Pole Vault.   

 

For M-L-A-C: Caden Swoboda was 6th in the 1600.  Kody Wassman was 7th in the 1600.  Cayden LaPointe was 6th in the 110 High Hurdles and 7th in the 300 Hurdles.  Jordan Toll was 8th in the 200.   

 

LUVERNE HAD THE HIGH TEAM SCORE FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS.  REDWOOD VALLEY WAS 2ND FOR BOYS AND SW MN CHRISTIAN/EDGERTON WAS 2ND IN THE GIRLS MEET.
