The Windom Women of Today held a Blood Drive on January 5th and the Red Cross had set a goal of 67 units. A surprising total of 72 units were collected. Monica Muller and Kelly Vlieger, Women of Today Blood Drive Coordinators stated this is the first time they hit over their goal since CoVid hit a year ago.

They went on to say they wanted to thank every donor that braved the cold and came to donate, the ones that signed up but couldn’t make it, and the ones that cancelled due to illness. Hopefully, it will work out to donate the next time around. The need is critical so every unit is very much appreciated by the Red Cross and especially to the person receiving the gift of life with that unit of blood. The next drive for the Windom Women of Today will be May 24t
