The Windom Public School Board is making progress in the selection for a new Superintendent. According to Board Chair, Dustin Stevens, the process is currently going well. The Minnesota School Board Association has been hired to lead the process and help procure applicants, which will start to be seen this week. Stevens went onto say as more applicants apply those will be available for the board to see, and ONLY the board and our points of contact in the school will have knowledge of these applicants.  At the time the final three candidates are chosen, their names will then become public.

For the process of interviews and committees, invitations have been extended to the groups and people that have interest in being on the committees for the hiring process. Stevens stated they will have some members of the public involved as well. Interested parties may contact the school district office. Input from the committees will be used by the board to help determine their interests through the hiring process. But the ultimate decision will lay with the School Board.

Stevens added that at this time, the process is on schedule with it looking as though the dates for the remainder of the process should be on schedule as well.  He concluded saying, we are hoping for several good candidates to apply, and have a smooth and confidential process to facilitate the hiring of a new superintendent.
