Just so you know….

I come from a strong Military background and I know that today is an important day of recognition. It is National Military Spouse Appreciation Day. The Friday before Mother’s Day is when this National Day of Appreciation is celebrated. I understand the sacrifices that our military men and women make for us every day. BUT today, we need to also recognize the significant contributions, support, and sacrifices of the spouses of the Armed Forces. So three cheers to those that live and breathe with anticipation as our protectors defend our freedoms.

Also… observed annually on May 6th is National Nurses Day. On this day, we raise awareness of all nurse contributions and commitments and acknowledge the vital role nurses play in society. This day is also the first day of National Nurses Week and is sometimes known as National RN Recognition Day.

And last but not least I’d like to raise my glass to everyone in our listening area. Whether we have met face to face or through other means of communication or maybe we haven’t technically met but know each other because of this wonderful life of radio, I click my glass to yours because today is National Beverage Day. Today I encourage you to sit back, relax, clink your cup with another and enjoy your favorite beverage.
