The City of Fulda has released Storm Damage information for those effected from the monstrous storms in the area on May 11th and 12th. Murray County Residents are asked to use the technology known as Orion. Orion is a tool used for gathering information for an assessment of the area after a storm. This tool will help Murray County determine whether the damage meets state or federal thresholds for aid. The website which can be found on the Murray County Website at Murraycountymn.com allows residents and businesses to submit storm damage at an address and also gives users the opportunity to add photos. Murray County Emergency Management are asking that photos of building, road, power grid and tree damage be submitted.

Windom Police Department reported on May 11th, mid morning there was a no injury accident at the intersection of Highway 60 and Dollar General. A 2000 Ford Taurus was traveling south and was attempting to merge lanes and struck a 2015 Ford Focus that was also traveling southbound. Light to moderate damage was done to both vehicles. At approximately 2:45pm Windom Officer was requested to assist Probation Agent who was wanting to meet with one of her clients, a 40 year old Windom Male regarding information that the Agent had obtained involving him using methamphetamines recently. After investigation and assisting Probation Agent, the Officer witnessed the male driving a vehicle in the 600 block of 10th Street. An arrest was made of the 40 year old Windom Male for possible Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, pending BCA blood test results. Late night at approximately 10pm Windom Police received a report of a possible Missing Student/Runaway. After investigation the 15 year old juvenile was found in Jackson County and transported back to the Law Enforcement Center close to 1am on May 12th.

Mountain Lake City Council will hold their regular meeting Tonight at 6:30pm in the Mt Lake City Hall.

Windom City Council will hold there regular meeting on Tuesday May 17th at 6:30pm in the Windom City Hall Chambers. A Special meeting will be held on Wednesday May 18th starting at 5pm in front of City Hall for Windom Facility Tours. The Council will be touring the following locations- The Water Plant, Community Center, Tegel’s Park, Cemstone Property Wastewater Plant, Mayflower Park, Street Shop and the Liquor Store.

According to Denise Nichols, City of Windom Finance/Deputy Clerk, the public is invited to attend each site but they must provide their own transportation.

Cottonwood County Board of Commissioners will hold their regular meeting on  Tuesday May 17th at 9am in the Cottonwood County Courthouse in Windom.

Jackson County Board of Commissioners and Drainage Authority will meet on Tuesday, May 17th at 9am in the Jackson County Resource Center Cafeteria.

Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce will meet Tuesday May 17th at Noon at the Mt Lake City Hall.
