Redwood County Sheriff’s Office reported- On June 9th, the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville DTF along with the Brown-Lyon-Redwood-Renville Emergency Response Unit served a narcotics search warrant at 40099 Reservation Hwy #3 Morton MN on the Lower Sioux Community. As a result of the search warrant over 3 ounces of methamphetamine, a quantity of M-Box 30 pills known to contain fentynal, a loaded handgun and a loaded assault rifle were recovered. Arrested without incident at the residence was Alan Pendleton. Also Assisting was the Lower Sioux Police Department, Redwood County Sheriff’s Office and the New Ulm Police Department K-9 Unit.

Cottonwood County Sheriffs Office reported on June 7th at approximately 3:30pm a Deputy took a call about a theft of a vehicle and catalytic converter being cut off his vehicles in Amboy Township. On the 8th Deputies were dispatched to 590th ve in Comfrey for a couple of 4 wheelers entering the homeowners property and taking off prior to contacting law enforcement. The homeowner believes they stole a flatbed trailer from his property last seen on the 6th. Approximate value is $2,000.

Lakefield Summerfest kicks off today with the start of a Medallion Hunt, 500 Card Tournament and a craft fair in North City Park. Tuesday there is a Pinocle Card Tournament and Wednesday Movie in the Park at dusk. A community Picnic on Main Street from 5-7 Thursday night featuring free hotdogs by local businesses and Lions Bingo at 6:30 at the Multipurpose Center and late swim from 9-10:30pm at the Lakefield Pool.
