Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on July 17th a Deputy conducted a traffic stop at 1:30am on US 71 in Jackson. After investigation, four passengers were cited for Underage Consumption.  At 3:50am a deputy assisted Jackson Ambulance and Alpha First Responders with a medical call.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office wanted to warn the public of a prank/scam that is making its rounds across the country. There is a Facebook post on Multiple “For Sale Sites” that alleges that Jackson Sheriff’s Office had picked up a Saint Bernard Dog that was wandering the streets of Jackson and that the owner stated they no longer wanted him. There were several calls stating they wanted to adopt the St Bernard. THIS IS A HOAX.
