It’s Friday August 26th and it is NATIONAL DOG DAY!!! National Dog Day encourages ownership of all breeds. I celebrate this day with nothing but joy from the 17 years we had with our beloved Tucker. Tucker was a culmination of all the dogs we were blessed with through the years. He was goofy, he was smart, he knew when to be loud and knew when to just cuddle close and give that unconditional love. Tucker was a mutt of all mutts his mama was a Spaniel and his daddy was the neighbor… BUT Tucker was the best thing that happened to our family. It’s been a few months since his passing and I find myself thinking it is time to accept another great addition to our family. But don’t tell Steve because when I meet that perfect new member, it will be a great surprise!!!

It was in 1922 at a fireman’s ball he introduced his chilly treat it was a huge success. It was after 1924 he changed the name from his initial patent name to the

Oh and if that is not enough to celebrate Today is National Women’s Equality Day. I cheer my sisters from the past for all the hard work and perseverance. I believe in equality for women except when it comes to dealing with snow removal, dealing with mice and occasionally taking the trash out… THAT’S when I say… You are the Man!!!
