The Windom City Council met on the 21st and in old business the Council received a request from the Fire Department to hire four new members. They also discussed as agreed each month, to look at the progress and issue of THC. According to City Council Member Jenny Quade, “The MN League of Cities did have a working group put together that discussed issues and concerns there would like to see address.  Steve Nasby, Windom City Administrator, did comment that a couple Cities are looking at moving forward with allowing sales and he is watching their movement”. Quade went onto say, “There is a lot more than just setting a license fee and granting licenses to places to sell the THC infused products.   There is also the enforcement to consider and the technology to test products to know what percent of THC is infused in them that is being sold.  Also consider processing plant and if someone wanted to build a plant in the city what things would need to be considered.” The Council agreed there is more discussion and research that will continue on this topic.
