Windom Police Department had a school bus arm violation on the 22nd at approximately 3:41pm on 330 Highway 71. According to the report, the bus driver had stopped put stop arm out, and the driver of the vehicle went through the stop arm. No students had exited the bus yet. This is still under the investigation. As a friendly reminder, it is illegal to pass a school bus with an extended Stop Arm out or if it has flashing red lights.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reported on the 25th Deputies responded to a loud music complaint at a residence in Jackson, assisted Alpha First Responders and Jackson Ambulance with a medical situation, responded to a disturbance and closed out the day by responding to a gas drive-off from a Jackson Gas Station.

There will be a Special Windom City Council Meeting Tonight, at the Windom Community Center located at 1750 Cottonwood Lake Drive. The agenda will be the 2023 Proposed Budget and Capital Improvement Projects.

The Windom Deputy Registrar #54 wants to remind customers if you are unable to come to the office during normal business hours of 8am-4pm there is a drop box available located in the alley behind the office located at 1043 4th Ave in Windom, or you can also mail-in your registrations and they will mail them back to you. If dropping off or mailing registrations, please include the following information.
- Registration renewal you received in the mail OR the plate number of the vehicle you need tabs for and a copy of your Driver’s License.
- Copy of your current vehicle insurance (Or it can be written on the renewal)
- Check for the amount on your renewal
- Phone number where you can be reached if we have any questions.
