Windom Police Department reported on the 17th an Officer was patrolling North on 1st Ave when he observed a vehicle turning onto 1st Ave from 9th Street going North. After running vehicle plates, the owner of the vehicle came back cancelled Inimical Public Safety. After traffic stop and investigation, an arrest was made of a 63-year-old Windom Male for Driving after Cancellation-Inimical to Public Safety.

Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office reported on October 10, 2022 at approximately 1116 am a Deputy was informed by the Assistant Jail Administrator that they had video footage of a male party entering the courthouse on Saturday October 08, 2022. The case was forwarded to the County Attorney for possible charges. At approximately 4pm on the 13th, a Deputy spoke with an individual who said someone was trying to change his information on his insurance policy. Since the incident happened in St. Peter, advised to contact them as well and inform them. Party was waiting to hear from on the identity of the person trying to change the information. Then on the 17th at 8:19pm a Deputy received information of a driving complaint going eastbound on Hwy 60 going through Windom. Deputy observed a dark green colored car and initiated a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, the male party was arrested for DWI.

Thursday October 20th the LLS Meals Windom will be having Free Meal Distribution for adults ages 18-59 at the Windom Community Center beginning at 12:30pm. Any adult is welcome to come. This is made possible through a grant from Second Harvest Heartland. No residency, no income guidelines, no registration, no reservation required.
